A non-profit business located in Texas hired Timberline Tax for overall account protection and resolution. The Associate began reviewing the account information and requested a hold from enforced collection action from the Revenue Officer. Negotiations began with the Revenue Officer for a couple of months until the Associate determined that an Offer In Compromise could be a better resolution to settle the tax liability once and for all. The OIC was completed and submitted on behalf of the client. A few months later an Offer Examiner was assigned to the case and would review the information and then clarify questions with Adam and the taxpayer. The original Offer amount was negotiated a little more with the Examiner, but a figure was settled on and approved. The Offer In Compromise was settled for $2,426.00 on an original liability of $56,904.14. This provided the client a savings of $54,478.14!
